Managing Overactive Bladder (OAB) Symptoms

SANCTURA XR® has been shown to provide relief from Overactive Bladder (OAB) symptoms like urge urinary incontinence and frequent urination. In fact, clinical studies show SANCTURA XR® can start to reduce the number of bathroom visits in as little as one week. It may take up to three months to see the full benefit of treatment.

Less time in the bathroom means more time to do the things you love. Whether you're outdoors. At the movies. Or with your grand-kids. That's why it's important to talk to your doctor about whether SANCTURA XR® capsules are right for you.

Lifestyle changes

Taking SANCTURA XR® is only part of the treatment plan. Making small behavioral changes may also help reduce OAB symptoms.

Here are some tips the experts recommend:

  • Stay active. Research shows a lack of exercise is associated with an increased risk of OAB. What better reason to get moving?
  • Cut down on caffeine. Caffeine is a known diuretic — a substance that makes you go to the bathroom more. It also stimulates your bladder muscle, which can cause that sudden urge to urinate. Try skipping that second cup of coffee. Or switch from soda to water.
  • Train your muscles. Strengthening your pelvic muscles by doing Kegel exercises may help improve your bladder control. These exercises involve squeezing together the muscles of the pelvic floor.
  • Watch what you eat. Obesity has been associated with OAB. So it's no wonder that doctors encourage patients with OAB to maintain a healthy weight.

Talk to your doctor about whether a treatment plan including SANCTURA XR® may be right for you.
